The early Days
In 1985, the Queen of Resale, Lynn Blum opened the first Once Upon a Child© in Perrysburg, Ohio. Over the years the Blum family continued on to open Plato’s Closet©, New Uses©, Clothes Mentor© and Gadget-Ease©.
In 2001, Lynn’s husband, Dennis, took on a different kind of adventure. He saw the need for data-centric POS software that focused on collecting the right type of data in order to create actionable intelligence for their resale shops. This was the birth of Resale1.
Development & Improvement
With 2 decades in the POS industry, and almost 4 decades in the resale industry, marrying these two businesses proved to be a good decision. Dennis and Lynn now own 20+ resale shops in the Columbus and Toledo, Ohio area. Each day, the operational efficiencies built into the product and the reporting tailored to the decisions that need to be made to allow the day to day operators of our stores to make the right decisions, at the right time.
Our Team
Dennis and Lynn’s son, Ben Blum is now President of Resale1, Inc. and oversees the day to day operations of the 20+ resale stores. Having firsthand knowledge of what it takes to run a successful resale store, this wisdom is baked right into the POS product.
Justin Rumpf, who has been with Resale1 since it’s inception, acts as the lead software developer and also takes an active role in OUAC, Inc. learning all he can about how the stores operate and incorporating this knowledge into the software development process.
Our dedicated team includes helpdesk professionals, system administrators, data analysts and system engineers. Together, we support over 100 customers, 24/7, all over the country (USA).
